A single hollow wooden egg, made from beautiful beech wood and hand painted in your chosen colour on the bottom. A name is engraved in scripted font on the top half just above the centre line.

Each egg measures approximately 7cm in height, 5cm in width and opens at the centre with a twist to create a fillable egg. The inner diameter is approximately 3.8cm wide, perfect to hide a little surprise.

Ideal for Easter baskets and for filling with a small Easter treat. The bottoms are flat to enable the egg to stand freely.

Eggs are hand-turned from beech wood and so the size and shape may vary slightly from piece to piece. We use clay/water based paints and each egg is then sealed with a toy safe matte sealant. Colours photographed are Maggie (blush), Sophie (buttermilk), George (dove), Alice (peach). Note that the longer the name, the smaller the font will be engraved.

The inside is left in its raw state and therefore wood grains / knots may be visible on the interior.

Each egg comes in our muslin cotton bag for safe keeping.

Note that our eggs this year are made from beech wood rather than linden so will be different in appearance to eggs made prior to 2022. Our eggs are intended for tiny treats such as a foiled chocolate egg, a note of money or easter hunt clues.

Safety

Age recommendation from 3 years. Some children may require assistance opening the eggs. Eggs have been lab tested to EN71-1-2-3 standards and finished with EN71-3 safe sealants. Adult supervision is required. Eggs weigh approximately 50g each.
